Unless you prefer your orchid cultural information interspersed with vitriolic attacks on respected, well known growers in the Cymbidium world, both commercial and hobbyist, there are other more informative web sites out there which are more "user friendly". The Cymbidium Society of America supports one site open to all questions on Cymbidiums and the Paph alliance. They are not going to try to convince you to buy plants because they are not commercial. There are many other orchid sites but most are multigenera.

Also consider looking into what orchid societies may be in your area and drop in on one of their meetings. Most have web sites and always welcome visitors to their meetings. Nothing beats one-on-one communication when it comes to solving orchid problems.

Gorgeous! I got my first cym a couple months or so ago as well. All the blooms recently faded and fallen off, so now I'm going to figure out how to repot this foreign creature. I'm used to phals, and this is a big difference!

Mine is pink as well, but a lighter pink. It has a smell, too, but I personally think it stinks. Thankfully it's not an overpowering smell!

Send a personal request to goldcoastcymgrowers@gmail.com and they will send you a complete guide to "Dividing and Repotting Cymbidiums". No charge. Many on this site have done so and been pleased.

I got a green one from the same growers. Mine smells nice does yours? Mine smells like flowers. It reminds me of spring.
