No idea about the background, but I'm sure it could be found as the plant is from a major cymbidium cultivator. It has a fragrance, but it isn't particularly good. Not perfume like.

Both sets of parents go back six generations

It is lovely...you'd think it would smell good, huh?

Does this mean that the plant has been highly hybridized? I'm lack knowledge on hybridization.
