First ever Cymbidium spike! Male
Default First ever Cymbidium spike!

It's a NOID. But still, my first ever spike from a Cymbidium!
I'm incredibly happy... I also wasn't expecting blooms till January-ish.
So far these have been the perfect orchids. I can keep them outside year round, and fertilise and water when I remember.
I just hope the flowers can deal with the heat were having

Awesome!

I found a spike (small, no buds) on one if mine near the end of July! That's very early for that plant ...

I'm very surprised. It's the only one doing it s well.
I'm a little worried. I feel like I should check the roots. But the plant looks very healthy.

Its so much fun What an exciting feeling. I love discovering new types that I haven't grown before because often times different species grow their flowers quite differently and its a big surprise all over again.
