Cyms are pretty (very!) robust. Old backbulbs with no roots can be propagated, so I wouldn't worry too much about lack of roots (if that turns out to be the case), however it may be 2-3 years (tho maybe not) before this plant can bloom again. Plastic pots are great for Cyms, since they do not want media to dry out. The pot should drain well, however. I've only ever got rotted roots on Cyms when they were inadvertently sitting in water too much.
