Selecting cymbidiums that bloom in the correct heat range has more to do with successful blooming than culture - especially in warm climates.

Where it came from would be interesting. I have had mine for more than 20 years - have no memory of where mine came from. Think it was a division from another orchid grower. May have come from the
Washington DC area.
