Actually, you might want to hold off on repotting to get it to bloom. A lot of the pics I saw when I googled cymbidium showed plants all the way to the edge of the pots. Here's an example..

Mike:
I would agree that you should wait at least a year before repotting--the majority of the cymbids in my collection bloom better when they are pot-bound. Also bear in mind that dividing your plants is quite stressful to them, it is not unusual for cymbids to skip a year of blooming after division. Please let us know how your plants progress. Good growing!

Thank you for the good advice. I think I will allow it to get root bound. Sometimes less is more. I hope to have many blooms next year. Mike
