Mike, try Andy's Orchids. They have several cymbidium species for sale on their website (Andy's Orchids - Orchid Species - Orchids - Species Specialist - Orchids on a stick). Plants that I've gotten from them have always been topnotch in quality and size. Good luck.

Mike,

Where are you located? Many hobbyists in local orchid societies have rather extensive Cym. species collections.

Most people I know that grow orchids do not care for cymbidiums. Since bench space is so valuable they prefer the smaller orchids.

Mike,

One of the best commercial sources for all species is Santa Barbara Orchid Estate in Santa Barbara CA. Their reputation is excellent, they are long established and they ship!

As a recommendation, I would learn the different cultural requirements for the different species, especially temperature, before jumping in and buying anything available.

I am looking for cymbidium tigrinum plants or even cymbidium tigrinum varieties.

If anyone has a division (even a tiny one) for sale please let me know.

Thanx

G.

Thumbs up

Hi,
I just bought some tigrinums from Dan Newman of Hanging Gardens in Pacifica, California. There are from a grower in India. Not bad, I bought them for $20.00 each. They are flowering size.
