Regarding the comments about temperature. Believe being continually cool is not the issue. The over all best growing temperatures would be a swing of 20 degrees with the high being 75 and the low being 55 in July and August..
There are a lot of species that deviate from this rule and those from the tropics are the plants that deviate the most. I grow in Florida now and have forgotten a lot of my technique in Ct. Odly Oct and Nov are the months that are in the correct temperature range here and the plants I look for would be late bloomers - the ones vendors claim will bloom in April, May and June. I also think the warm tolerant cymbidiums might do well for those who grow inside if you do grow inside year round for some reason. I ditto the comment about Little Black Sambo LBS being a little difficult. The people here who do the best with LBS are the catasetum growers. Bobs plants probably would be good for indoor growers due to the location of this nursery.

By The way my comments about snakes were not without purpose - knowing it is an unpopular subject - but someone was bitten by a Rattle Snake (Probably of the pygmie variety) at Wal Mart Garden Center here in town - another case for getting plants up off the ground - also for checking plants before you bring them in - Hummm! Ok think about that the next time you stick your finger in the pot to see if it needs water.
