Default Natural flower supports and shameless bragging

Greetings -
When we were setting up for a show earlier this month, the hotel had just pruned their palm trees, and my friend showed us this excellent/beautiful recycling idea - would also work with palmetto fronds. Many hotels around here seem to use these plants as landscaping; I am on alert! Trim and use as supports - they can range up to 3' long, so work excellently for giant cymbidium inflorescences, like this (sweet) Oriental Legend 'Cinnamon' (grown in pure, fresh horse manure), which this year has over 2 dozen inflorescences. The flowers open a dark russet, and mature through almost a chamois color.
Enjoy - Nancy

What a lovely idea, and that's a beautiful cym. I really like how the color changes as the flower matures.
