Default Cymbidium Paddy

This morning I went shopping to buy some food for the weekend. Just as I'm about to leave the store, I spot a shipment of Cymbidiums being rolled in. I think you guys know what happened!
So I brought home this gorgeous light yellow Cym for only 4€. When I got home and inspected it, I noticed a little dirty tag buried in the medium, left there by the grower. So my Cym is no longer a NOID. It's Cymbidium Paddy.
I'm going to have to repot it, the roots are starting to explode the pot!

Camille,

Unfortunately, you still have a noid, unless there was parentage given on your new acquisition, as there is no registration in the RHS for Paddy and this flower is definitely NOT Cym. Paddy Mouse.

Many off-shore, orchid mericlone providers are putting a clonal name on these plants but deliberately not putting the parentage on them. I fear we will see more and more of this, if you look at the commercial marketing of roses, camellias and fuschias.

It's not necessarily a NOID...it's an unregistered hybrid named Paddy

Dutch grown Cyms, that's why they are so cheap. But I have to agree, I was quite shocked to find one at this price. Even here Cyms are usually 12-15€.

I didn't buy it in France, I'm living in the Netherlands right now. I've never seen cheap ones in france that are actually healthy!
