Another idea is to go to Casa de las Orquideas Online you will find Loren's E-Mail address at the bottom. Solona Beach is one of his hybrids and he is an expert on spotted cymbidiums. I think he would answer you E-Mail and would probably enjoy hearing from you and seeing your plants. You might find pictures on his website that would help you understand that line of breeding.
Loren recently wrote an article about spotted cymbidium breeding for Orchid Digest.
