Like a straining basket? I never thought of it but would be so perfect for a number of species!

Anything as large as that plant probably has a root system of approximately the size of the vegetative part. Like a shrub or tree.

I am thinking of the wine barrel that held the enormous Den. speciosum var. hillii 'Don Brown' that I saw at the Santa Barbara show some years back (I have shown the photo of that one before)... Maybe something like that for a "forever" home? Whatever you put it in, after a few years, if you ever move to another house, you'll probably need a fork lift to move it anyway.

Whoooee from Roberta is a personal achievement!!!

I was blown away by the quality. I won’t be shy. I spent $200 (by FAR my most expensive orchid and second most expensive plant (painted eucalyptus was a pretty penny bc the city mandated it be over 10’!) and from eBay

It was a seller I like (blorchids) and they aren’t too
far away and I’ve been looking for almost five years at this point lol.

Anyways I was terrified and now I’m quite excited!!

That plant really looks great. And I think it's still relatively young, so pot accordingly.... won't be long before you'll look at it, think about potting, then think "Not so much..." even if you are a lot younger and stronger than I am. I look at it and already glad I don't have to deal with it.

I use those a lot in place of net pot but that is not what I meant here.

Local hardscape places call these rice bowls

Ohhh this is going to be visually impressive. Will you be drilling drainage holes? Is it granite?
