Thumbs up Project Two Plant Suggestion List

I will be adding suggestions as they come in to the original thread. It will make it much easier for us to
see what we're looking at, instead of bouncing around the entire thread.

I updated the thread today, adding two additional entries:

The next entry has plants available to all members, both U.S. and Canada. Hopefully, Marleneann, our good friend in Australia will be able to acquire the plant we choose.

The last entry is an area in which I am keeping all original suggestions AND the list of plants we can not use.

There are many beautiful choices on our list but not all of them will be available in Canada. I, for one, would be happy to make a decision based upon availablity to all involved Whaddya think?

I just hope that with all these new choices, our US members make an effort at choosing from that list.

This list will be updated as the suggestions come in.

This is a "closed" thread...please add suggestions to the original project thread and I will enter them here. Thanks
Once the poll is closed, each member who has made suggestions will have to choose their 3 first choices
for discussion on which orchid we, as a group, will purchase...

Happy Hunting

These are the original suggestions made, before we decided to go with Oak Hill Gardens for this project,
or they may be a suggestion of a type of plant with no specific links attached.

from nhorchidguy:

What about something like an Angraecum or Jumellia or a Dendrobium aphyllum?

from Tindomul1of9:

I like the Angraecum idea. Or some small Paph Species or hybrid

from Oscarman:

anything paph works for me

Here are a few choices to stir the mix or show agreement with other's suggestions:

Dendrobium parishii, secundum, senile, stratiotes or unicum.
Epidendrum pseudepidendrum.
Laelia briegeri or flava.
Oncidium ornithorhynchum or triquetrum.
Paphiopedilum - anything!
Phalaenopsis fasciata, gigantea, violacea var. coerulea or venosa.
Trichopilia tortilis.

Oncidium ornithorhynchum might be a great choice....smallish, fragrant, lots of show, intermediate conditions
