Default And the winner is....

ME!

The winning plant:

Vandofinetia Blaupunkt, purchased today from Oak Hill Gardens for $18.00. It's fragrant too.

Yes, I cheated. I bought something that nobody suggested. But I felt bad for cheating, so I'll give a special runner up prize to TADD and Paphgirl for suggesting Neofinetia falcata, which is one of the parents of this hybrid (the other being Vanda coerulea). I'll do one line of calligraphy for each of you...good choices would be your signature or a nametag for one of your plants. PM me for details.

Thanks to everyone for the inputs! I had fun!

Default in spike now!

My little Vandofinetia Blaupunkt is in spike again. This is the first time I've made it bloom--it was in full bloom when I got it.

I can't wait--the jasmine fragrance alone is worth it! I anticipate 2-3 weeks before it blooms.
