Which Photo Would You Click? Male
Default Which Photo Would You Click?

Recently I created an ad on facebook for my society's auction. Out of 22,021 impressions the ad only received 10 clicks...which seems like a pretty low rate of clicks...especially since the ad only targeted people who are interested in orchids. My guess is that our logo, which I used as the image, wasn't eye catching enough.

In terms of future ads for my society on facebook, I'm wondering what kind of orchid related images might capture the most attention. So imagine you're on facebook...which image would you be most likely to click on...

It may not have anything at all to do with the ads themselves. I never click on ads at FB, don't trust them. Unfortunately because of a few rotten apples, the rest of the barrel is getting ignored.
Sorry

cb977, that could be the case as well. The last time I clicked on an ad it was because it was made to look like the Google Ad was part of the website's menu. I wonder what my ration of impressions to clicks looks like....probably something like 1,000,000 to 1. So far I have yet to click on any facebook ads as none have been relevant to my interests. I guess that's partially because I haven't filled out any interests in my facebook profile.

Maybe as more and more orchid nurseries and orchid event organizers start trying to tap into the large market potential of orchid growers on facebook...then people will start paying attention to see if there any good apples in the bunch.

I wish you luck

I think it could be another fantastic way to meet and learn from and/or teach fellow orchid lovers.

I'm with Suzanne. Never click on ads while on facebook. Don't trust them either. Got stuck in one once & it wouldn't allow exit. Had to reboot to get out of the thing. Also probably overly cautious in following links...too many sneaky viruses out there...know several people who have picked up some nasty viruses that were major headache to deal with. Some very good people have hooked up with some very bad bugs. I get mocked for my borderline paranoid caution, but so far remain bug-free.

I agree with Sue, I never click on fb adds. I've actually never been bitten by them, I just never click on adds on any web-page ever.

It's two things for me, I don't trust advertisers in any form in any medium. After all it's their job to make their product seem wonderful and especially in this modern world anyone can make a cheep add that may or may not be a scam.

Also (and this may just be me) I'm stubbon and don't want them to know they succeded, so even if something does interest me I won't click on an add. I would rather go away and find out more information about it through other channels and find a different way to respond (such as in your case if you had a website then a google/bing search might take me to it after seeing your add).

I think lady with Dendrobium is a bit over the top for an orchid promo - she's very attractive - more so than the flower, and thus distracting from the point of the link.
