Default Explain camera settings?

So can someone explain what these mean in regards to my pictures?

For this picture-
Properties listed are- Shutter 1/250 sec, Max Lens Aperture f/4.0, F-number f/11.0, no flash, Focal length 11mm, ISO 80, Metering Mode- pattern, exposure compensation -1.00.

And this picture-
Properties listed are-
Shutter 1/200, Max Lens Aperture f/3.0, F-number f/2.8, no flash, Focal length 6mm, ISO 80, Metering Mode- spot, exposure compensation -1.33.

The shutter speed, flash, and focal length are somewhat self-explanatory. I'm most curious about what I've put into italics.

A lot of awesome entries! Thank you for participating guys!

And can someone explain to me how one is supposed to know if the pics go in the beginner or intermediate/advanced categories?? I know nearly nothing about photography (barely can tell you what ISO, f/__ and shutter speed mean), but my pics are fairly decent (in my eyes). Any set criteria by which to go by?

Exclamation Get your pics posted!

As has been mentioned elsewhere, the deadline is approaching! The entry threads will be locked on December 1st, and no late entries will be accepted.

It's been awesome to see all of you participate- I'd say this has been a success!
The judges and I are getting organized, and judging details will be posted soon. Happy holidays!

I can't help you there. Sorry.

On a side note- I understand you may have been confused This time ( not pointing anyone out. Multiple people have done this. ) but in the future let's try to enter either the beginner contest OR the intermediate/advanced contest. Either you are a beginner or you are intermediate/advanced.

Thanks

I'd say that intermediate/advanced would be for someone who has been using their camera for more than two or three years, and has considered composition/lighting/presentation in their photos.

Thank you for asking that- we will make that clearer in next month's contest.

For now, close your eyes and point of flip a coin. Whatever you're comfortable with.

Thanks Izzie. I guess next time I'll put the pics in the intermediate category.

I would say if you have been taking pictures for two + years. Not wih any particular camera. Wince you understand ISO and f-stop and the likes. I would place you in the intermediate/advanced. Ultimately it's up to you. You have to decide if you want to be judged as a beginner or as and intermediate/advanced photographer. Just stay consistent month after month with what category you enter
