Default Lobstah rolls

I need a good lobster roll recipe.

Marlene and I didn't get up to Cape Breton this year and we're going through lobster roll withdrawal. We're also running out of Canadian Red Rose which is a whole other problem.

Hopefully some of our friends from up north have a recipe to share?

Cheers.
Jim

Default I must confess, I am somewhat jealous

of you folks that live on either coast, because you have possibilities of buying seafood that is very fresh to somewhat fresh. Where I live, that is not possible, unless someone takes a roadtrip to go get it, or you pay someone a lot of money for air freight.

I hear ya Gregg. One does take it a bit for granted. I was in Kansas City a couple of weeks ago for work and when we went out for dinner, I was a little suspicous of the fresh oysters. I really shouldn't be though. Oysters keep amazingly well. My grandparents used to buy a barrel of oysters that were hand packed flat side up in an oak barrel. They kept it in the basement (unfinished, dirt floor, dry-layed limestone walls) and enjoyed fresh oysters all winter long.

Cheers.

Default My wife loves lobster and I like shrimp,

crab cakes and oyster rumaki. She likes oyster stew, so I am kind of in a bad spot for those things. But then, the beef, veal and the rest is the tradeoff, I guess.
