Default Fantastic Fruit Dessert

For an easy, colorful and delicious dessert serve peach halves, preferably fresh or home canned, with blackberry syrup and a few whole blackberries, fresh or frozen, dropped into the syrup around the peaches. The tartness of the blackberries compliments the sweetness of the peaches. This can also be served over a slice of pound cake or with small spongecakes.
