Default A Thanksgiving Tradition...

I've started cooking some of the stuff for tomorrow's food fest and that means I've had my first Apple Pie of the season:

Apple Cider
Vodka
over ice

Stir with a cinnamon stick and keep the stick in the glass.

Interesting drink!! Is that the name of the drink, or actually some Apple pie you had?

that sounds nummy! Of the many fruit stands in the Hood River valley there are still a few open through November and most press their own cider. I'm thinking I will pick some up and try this tonight!

What a great way to brace against the kids coming home...

A Thanksgiving Tradition... Male
Default Somewhere I have a rib recipe

using apple cider, applesauce and apple cider vinegar that is really good. I could not have the tomato sauce at one time that you use in the bbq sauce so that was my alternative. The drink sounds interesting. Do you keep the vodka in the freezer? Actually it sounds strange, but it makes the drinks even better.

I bet a splash of calvados (or apple brandy) would further it's intrigue

Actually, do we need some Apple Pie Spice?

Actually, nothing more than the cinnamon stick is necessary but there's nothing wrong with experimenting. It's how a friend and I came up with this one years ago

I just let it sit for a little while before taking the first sip and then

I've tried it with Vanilla Vodka and it was kind of like "a la mode"
