Dendrochillum selection? - Orchid Board

I would like to add a SMALL Dendrchillm to my collection. I've been looking at tenellum. Do you have suggestions?

Ddc uncatum is also quite small-ish. (But scent is a bit pungent, mustard like...)

Quadrilobum seems to stay small, and after a slight set back due to dryness has grown well for me. It's supposedly fragrant, as well, but mine was post bloom when I bought it and just going into bud now, so I'll have to wait to confirm that.

Hausermann's has had formosanum in stock from time to time. Their description:
"CH-22008 Dendrochilum formosanum, 2.25 inch pot, blooming size. Blooms in November. Greenish-yellow flowers. Flowers are about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide."

I think my favorite mini-Dendrochilum is Ddc. cootesii. But Ddc. pulcherrimum is also quite charming.

It is a cutie... petals large for a Dendrochilum, with a darling twist (I have had it for about 6+ years. It is in a 3- 1/2" clay pot- and makes more and more spikes each year) Also reminds me of Jim Cootes for whom it's named - he is an Australian expert on Philippine orchids, stayed with me for several days when he came to southern California to speak at several clubs, a lovely person, I totally enjoyed hosting him.

Dolly I have a curranii that is considered a miniature. I’ve had my plant for about four years and it is 5 to 6 inch tall. It is very grass like in appearance and has sweet fragrant tiny flowers.

I purchased this from Al’s Orchids and he advised me to wait until I absolutely had to repot. Apparently they hate having their roots disturbed and will sulk. I waited and waited until the media was almost gone in the pot! It had been in fine bark in a 2” pot. I repotted it last spring into a 3” plastic pot in spaghnum & bark mix. The plant has really taken off and is flowering now.

I grow this in a shelfing greenhouse, warm and high humidity, fan running and keep it moist. I hope you find a Dendrochillum, neat little plant.
