That's not what I meant about the fertilizer, but I totally agree with your position. I use fertilizer weakly to provide nutrients that my plants won't get any other way. I don't try to force them to bloom with it. I give it on a consistent basis. I was just talking about changing brands. The fertilizer I've been using is a cheap brand from the hardware store. It's worked for my phal hybrids, but I'm not seeing a lot of success with it with species, it works just ok on my phal. bellina. I'm thinking about ordering some K-Lite.

Actually, what you said was very helpful!

It reminded me that when I got this plant, there wasn't a lot of info available on it. It's not commonly found in orchid collections. So, I sent out emails to several people who grow it indoors that I found on the internet and got some great feedback. I've just gone back through those emails to find clues on what I'm doing wrong and lo and behold... this was predicted by one of those growers.

Apparently this sort of stall is normal for this species. These do not want a dry rest, unlike other coelogyne. Instead, they grow in spurts and these stalls usually follow repotting and can last a long time. Since I repotted it as soon as I bought it, that's probably what's going on with it. So, I just have to be patient and wait for the new pbulb to start growing.

I can try putting a heat mat under it and see if that helps. The light it gets now is the same light I give my phal bellina and other higher light phals, so I'm thinking I will try the heat mat first and if that doesn't work after a month or so... start inching it toward my t5s to see if it wants more light in order to grow.

I will post updates as I have them! Thanks for all of your help and feedback!

Right! Good to hear that helped at least a little!

Now that you say it, I have read the same thing about them being difficult after repotting.

Anyway, as long as the plant looks healthy and is doing fine (even though it's no fun to see your plant stalling), there shouldn't be too much to worry about and you can try some changes here and there to see whether it reacts or not.

Good luck!

So.... remember how I was all freaked out about this plant? Yeah... that new pbulb is peeking out from under the tissue at the base of the old one!!! I did move it to a spot where it gets a bit more light, but not a bunch, and placed it inside a pot to keep the roots a little bit warmer and after a few days... look at that! It's growing!

Woohoo! Thanks for your help everyone! I think if I keep this plant a bit warmer than I have been and just leave it where it's sitting, I will see much better growth from it.

Mine probably got a bit too cold for good growth this past winter. It's growing well for me now, I have a nice new pbulb cropping up. I'm going to put it on a heated mat this winter. I have this a couple of plants that need it, so it should work out well.
