Thank you all

Cambria.... hmm it is hard to answer your question but i will try I have never learned phonetical writting but i searched on the google and it says it is PLAY-o-nee
But i pronounce it a little different Ple-yo-ne, but both of the e are wide ( as in met, bed ) and the yo is like those rapers say yo-yo
Ok i tried my best haha I could be wrong of course but i will ask someone what is right since i want to know that too

Regards
Gregor

Really gorgeous one!

I've never been sure how to pronounce it either. I've ranged between thinking it's "plea-OWN", plea-on', 'plea-one' and 'Plea-o-nee'. Not thought of 'Play-o-nee' but that makes scene with the ei in there.

Hmm

Thank you Rosie
Sorry for my late reply. I asked on another forum and this is the answer i got:

pronunciation of Pleione varies with the language in which the word is used. In English it is indeed as you describe(PLAY-o-nee), in German it is more like Play-OH-ne, in French it is different again.

So it could be that we are both right... or wrong

Regards
Gregor
