I appreciate the info, Glen. If I ever get another one I will try to remember this. I don't think I ever repotted either of the ones I had. The second one died so quick I really didn't have the chance. I don't know what I did wrong. They did get the bright light.

I posted under my orchids showcase my dendrochilum magnum and i just wanted to ask if it is a bloomin spike

Most likely it is a new growth. Most Dendrochilum bloom from the center of a new growth as the leaf is unfurling and before the new bulb is mature.
