Default multiple bulbs starting to brown do I cut these

Hi,
My coelogyne (labelled sp but I don't know what that is) has gotten brown bulbs in the last months. the bulbs are not squishy but dried-out. It does seem to spread along the rhizome, although it skipped one bulb, which is now browning. It also has multiple nice new growths.

Should I divide the plant and cut out the brown bulbs?

If its progressing I would cut them off. If you arent ready to repot you should still cut a section out of the rhizome to seperate the brown bulbs from the healthy ones.

When a tag says sp. it just means its an unknown species. I wouldnt count on it being a species either

How are you watering it? How often?

I water it about once a week. I tried to repot when I got it, end of august. But i found the roots bound into a ball with additional foam and did not really replace it at the time. Just kind of stuck it in a larger xontainer. So I worry it might be the roots sufffocating

It's not getting enough water. That causes what you're seeing. Coelogynes should stay very moist. In large bark like that you could water every day.
