Coelogyne trinervis ??? Male
Default Coelogyne trinervis ???

I am asking for your opinion and help. I am going to purchase this exact plant in the attached pictures. (The seller has one mounted on a teak slab and one plant in a hanging pot. I want the one that is in the pot.) The 3rd picture with the full blooms is what the seller claims the orchid will look like in full bloom. These are the sellers own pictures from his store in Bangkok.

The seller is saying it is coelogyne thinervis. I did some surfing on the internet, and the blooms look quite different from what I see on the internet. But the actual plant (bulbs and leaves) do look the same.

Could this plant be a cultivar of this plant?

I am purchasing it no matter what and the seller is holding/saving it for me.

Thanks for your valuable time and opinion and help.

Saw this on another forum and answered there... I'm guessing that it is a Pholidota. I have a few species of that genus with flowers and growths that look similar. (It is related to Coelogyne). Can't help down to the species level, but if not Pholodota, something very closely related.

In fact, it looks a lot like my Pholidota imbricata . If not that species, likely something close.
