Default cattleya forbesii, tipo and alba

Bought these catts about 6 months ago and they are now blooming for second time. I will take partial credit for these blooms and more so for recognizing these plants when they were in bloom but without a name tag. I later saw them without flowers and were marked down. Forbesii standard and alba version, Think they were worth the $13 each price as they were marked down as out of bloom plants.
Of note, the alba version has green instead of white, alba just means the lack of normal pigment and in some flowers it is not a white.

Looks like coco fiber. Useful for folks with a wet, humid environment because it drains and dries fairly quickly.

my orchids are shaded by some olive trees in front of my house, and are exposed to the weather. I have to consider the worst case scenario of daily rain for several weeks so plants have to be in material that will still provide airflow and resistance to fungal problem.
I had a roll of coco fiber and a bunch of net pots that I am using to provide a refuge for my plants.
They have managed exactly as I thought, zero fungal problems... although my yard has had mushrooms pop up everywhere because of the heavy rain. There is a bit of standard cattleya mix that came from pot that plants were purchased in. I just wrapped that with coco fiber and squeezed them into the net pot. no staking necessary. I turn them upside down and nothing moves. am also slowly transitioning the plants that are ready to wooden or tree fern mounts.
