Default Leptotes bicolor

This is a recent addition to my collection, which I bought last summer. I grow it mounted and in a decorative glass ball with a layer of leca and moss on the bottom to help raise the humidity levels. It grew very well for me in the fall, and I was happy to see 2 spikes appear. I’m looking forward to the blooms in a couple years once the plant is larger!

As a note, I had no idea that this species was fragrant. I didn't notice anything last week, but when I was watering this morning before going to work (at 5:45) I noticed it had a rather strong spicy scent. I don't know if the blooms needed to mature in order to be scented, or if they are only scented at night/ very early in the morning.

Looks nice! Nothing better than instant gratification when in need of a quick orchid fix. Is that from Andy's? I see the edge of a label in the photo, with 'An' at the beginning.

Indeed it is from Andy's! It opened yesterday, and I'm hoping the fragrance ramps up after the flower has been open a while.
