Cattleya nobilior var. amaliae (H&R#1 x sib) - Orchid Board

I'm pretty happy with this plant's first bloom. The flower looks nearly coerulea (but not quite) and its got a wonderful, light scent. I expect big things from this in subsequent bloomings!

Nice colour on this bloom. The yellow center in the lip defines this variety. Scent must be nice. Hopefully the petals will flatten around the edges in subsequent blooming. Well done to bloom a seedling!!

Yep, I'm hoping the petals flatten for next year. I'll show it if that happens.
