Default Cattleya jenmanii var rubra 'Lifeblood' HCC/AOS

A shapely dark rubra form of jenmanii just opened. Measuring around 12.5 cm, it's a bit small, but I think the rubra varieties are smaller in general. The fragrance is like all jenmaniis, sweet like candy.

The white eyes on the side lobes and the pink picotee surrounding the dark purple lip makes the flowers stand out. Would be nice to see if next year's stronger blooming will gift me 5 flowers!

How beautiful, Leslie! I hope one day I can find a dark clone as nice as that. Lucky you!

Thanks BG.

Correction: the clonal name is actually 'Canaima's Lifeblood'...
