Cattleya walkeriana developing dark spots and yellowing on leaves

In a little bit of a problem here...

I purchased a Cattleya walkeriana around 2.5 weeks ago and over the past week, it has developed dark spots on leaves and two of the leaves have been yellowing as well.

I can't seem to be able to pinpoint what's wrong. Any ideas?

That happens with sunburn, but it would be unusual for it to run around the edge of the leaf and spare the center. Was it shipped to you, or did you pick it up yourself? I wonder whether it got too hot in shipping? Is there any chance the leaf was touching a window where it got too hot?

Hmm. That's strange because it's by a west facing window with the new growth facing towards the window. This is the same window I'm keeping a masdevallia on, which is doing great. Also, the plant was shipped to me.

I'm glad, at least, that it's not rot or some disease.

That is not sunburn.

I would think virus or fungal disease.
It does not look like the dreaded black rot ( pythium), which usually shows no advancing yellow margin, plus no black round circles like on your leaves. Black rot just eats up the plant basically, and quite fast.
Send a leaf for a testing.
I had this same thing happening on a Cattleya hybrid. It happened within one week of purchase. It turned out to be virused. I tossed it without a second thought. It was sad because the plant otherwise seems good. It had white flowers with no distortion. so I could never have guessed.
