Default Opening tonight - Sl. Beautiful Sunset

I'm really excited about this one. The flower looks like it's going to be nearly the same size as the plant! It's the most intense purple fuchsia color, and I just love he yellow flush - you can sort of see the purple veining on the sides of the labellum in at least one of the pics. I will post an update once this baby is fully open. I have another in bud, too, so I will be interested to see what kind of variation I get. I am so getting more of these..

It's a beauty
Very rich in color
I love it's small size
I was curious about it's parents so I looked up to find
Sl. Beautiful Sunset = L. sincorana x Sl. Orpetii
and Sl. Orpetii = L. pumila x S. coccinea
It's has a background of beautiful species orchids
No wonder it's so good looking

Sure! Here's a few pics I took of the flower outside this afternoon. The natural spread of the flower is 2 3/4" and the height of the plant from the soil line is 3 1/4".
