Default Cattleya tenebrosa in bloom

- another from last month

This plant is in quite bad shape (you can see some ugly dead pbulbs in the pic ) , and I was about to trash it late last year - I had picked it up to take it to the trash when I saw a sheath on the newest growth, so I figured I would give it a bit more time ... I didn't expect it to actually bloom! So, just the one flower - but it was a good one! Good color, 6" across. So, I suppose I should attempt to clean up the plant when there's some new growth soon ... ;p

Thanks for looking

Thank you everyone

Desert - this is why I can be quite persistent with my orchids, altho, I've become a bit more willing to trash some in recent years, as I want to downsize ...

DougR - yes, it was fragrant, but not strongly, and I'm unable to describe it other than "not unpleasant"
