Cattleya (syn laelia) tenebrosa

My Cattleya tenebrosa is once again in bloom, with 3 huge flowers. The blooms are 8'' (20 cm) wide. Mine is a tall plant. The longest pseudobulb on my cattleya is 9.5'' (24 cm) tall, and the longest leaf is 15'' (38 cm) long!

I love this orchid. I just wish the blooms lasted longer. They usually last for only 2 - 3 weeks. We are having such a cold summer here in Finland. Maybe as a positive side effect of the cool temperatures the blooms will last a little longer.
