Default Broughtonia negrilensis

Thankfully the bugs didn't get to this last spike! It originally had 4 spikes on it earlier and the bugs got to 3 of them Don't know how this one survived, but I'm sure glad that it did!

Broughtonia is perhaps the next purchase on my list.
There is something about them that appeals to me and yet I have not even seen one yet. Just from pictures. Are they hard to grow? How do you grow this type? Your blossoms are beautiful! What type of bugs got at it?
Thanks for sharing. kiki

Thanks Sue!
Kiki, mine is mounted and I grow in bright light, lots of water when it's growing. I'm not sure what bug gets to it, but it happened last and this year too!
I've tried to catch whatever it is that eats them, but I've yet to see them in the act! I just know that one day they have nice spikes and the next day it's eaten half half way up...
