Thanks again everybody. No fragrance for sure. It is a very colorful little plant. It opened up all the way so I thought I'd include a few more pictures. It's heading off to Ann Arbor for the weekend if anybody nearby wants to see it up close.

I will be at the Ann Arbor show so I can see it in person. Very nice plant and the colors are beautiful.

Even without fragrance, it is certainly a winner.
It is funny how some of these are nicely fragrant, some are not so nicely fragrant and some are not at all fragrant. I bought two, each from a different vendor, and I am hoping that one will be nicely fragrant but even if neither is, I am not going to worry too much. It is a cute little orchid.

Very cute. Had never been terribly impressed by photos I had seen in the past. Saw one this past weekend at the Ann Arbor show -- was much cuter than I had anticipated.

That was my little bugger in Ann Arbor. It was awarded first place in the Cattleya species and miniature categories. Not bad for my first show! I'm glad that you were able to see it and enjoyed it. It's so great to go to a show and see everybody's treasures. There's something special about this hobby of all of ours. I'm glad to share it with you all It brings me great joy. Thanks to everybody for all the wonderful comments.

An additional note. It may be fragrant after all! I picked it up from our show crew tonight and noticed when I got home a small waft of scent. It was cloudy and rainy all day, so I'll see if there's any difference tomorrow under the lights. I may try selfing this plant just to get the experience and it's not a bad subject after all.

Your home might be too cool or something for the fragrance. Congratulations!
