Default Prostechea cochleata

My Prostechea cochleata 'John' was in blooms for months and months...lost it's last bloom a few days ago...and I found this on my second plant today!

With two plants and the length of time you can keep them in flower, you could enjoy flowers from these all year round it seems!

They are great, aren't they?! I love mine...

Beautiful Sue and Shak
These are on my top 10 of favorite orchids. I love them, can't say enough about them. Very non fussy orchids, almost everblooming chids (imho)

I agree with you 100%- they are awesome plants! Your's is beautiful too... its nice how they are all subtly different

They certainly are interesting and seem to be very rewarding. I have Encyclia 'Green Hornet'. Is it the same plant. I've had mine since July and it looks healthy and had bloomed previously but now seems very reluctant. It's in a fine bark mix and I'm wondering if it likes to be kept moist. I'm presently watering just once per week. Also I grow in natural light and we're into the short dark days of winter so perhaps not enought light? Any hints would be appreciated.
