Cattleya eldorado M. ito Male
Default Cattleya eldorado M. ito

Hi again,

And because it worked (posting pictures) also some pictures of my eldorado in bloom right now!

The first two pictures were taken by day, the last was taken in the evening with artificial light. Then the flowers almost seem to be a illuminating purple!

Pat

P.s. does anyone know what M. ito means? Is it a person name, or is the spelling incorrect?

Nice, what kind of temperature do you use for this species? It isn't easy for me because my condition isn't warm enough.

I've seen this clone for sale frequently. The clonal name 'M. Ito' could be a name of a person (Ito/Itou/Itoo is a common Japanese name). It is probably a mericlone of an awarded plant (BM/JOGA)?

Thnks, it's in the warmest corner of my greenhouse and i think this year a had the warmth on my side! We had a really warm summer over here, so on some days the temperature climbed up to 32-33C (89-90F) at day time and dropped down to 23-24C (73-74F) at night.

It is in a clay pot which absorbes the warmth, so maybe that helped also a little bit!
