Default Epidendrum anceps Flowers on Old Tall Spike

This is one of those orchids (Florida native) that continues to flower on old spikes. This is a tiny grouping of cool flowers at the tip of a spike nearly 3 ft high. These spikes can be 5-7 ft tall in some cases. Seems like a lot of work to get those tiny little flowers up in the air to whatever pollinator its going for.

I think very nice also. You would probably walk right past them in habitat since they are so small and inconspicuous. If you look close though, they are beauties in their own right.

Adorable blooms. I have this orchid plant and it flowers on the old spikes that's why I don't cut it. I get basal keikis and on the stems....as soon as I get three inches roots, I just twist it and pull and plant it with the mother.
