Default Brassavola nodosa 'Cozette' (4N)

I got this in February at a local OS show and sale. Small bloom size division. It had large buds at the time, so I was not expecting more blooms anytime soon!

After it finished blooming, I kept watching for new growth, but there has been none yet - so about a month ago, I was very surprised to see a tiny spike starting. Extremely surprised, as the growth now blooming is the next oldest to the growth that bloomed earlier this year ... I don't know if this is a usual occurrence

This is quite compact - growths about 7" total (pbulb + leaf) - blooms however are big! - 4"!

Growing in a west facing window that gets some mid-afternoon sun, bark mix. Pefumes the room at night!

Thanks for looking

Thanks everyone

I was tickled to find buds on it so soon after it finished blooming. I am VERY surprised that it spiked on a growth OLDER than the one that bloomed earlier this year ...

Very nice plant with great potential. From the leaves it looks like Brassavola grandiflora to me (which some people do not consider a species of its own rank).
