Cattleyas acting strange this year? Male
Question Cattleyas acting strange this year?

Does anyone has a Cattleya that is usually bifoliate or unifoliate did other wise. Like a bifoliate sprouting out unifoliate leaves or vice versa.

Even a species will on occasion sprout one leaf on a bifoliate and vice versa on a unifoliate. On hybrids it happens quite a bit.

If the Catts appear healthy don't worry about it.

Hehe ... yeah, it happens, especially with hybrids. I have one that blooms from sheaths on the unifoliate growths, but blooms without sheaths on the bifoliate ones.
