Thumbs up More pictures...

Here's some more pictures... This dividion isn't the most "foliage-y" but with it putting out a new growth every 2-3 months, it won't take long to get that way.

This could soo pass as Chia Lin's lil brother/sister. My Blc. Chia Lin 'New City' actually bloomed every month one after the other since I got it (3 months total). I think its on its rest period while it sends up two new growths which are already 1/4 of the length what i'm assuming they will be when fully grown. Always looking forward to new sheaths! I have 2 new sheaths & a first time bloomer that i got from dounoharm (Nora). Hoping that my new acquisitions will send out sheaths in some weeks too!

I love how cute this one is tho! How tall is this one?

The tallest leaf is 7.25 inches. The new leaves it's been putting out are under 6 inches. The other bigger leaves are from the previous grower. Must be some difference in growing conditions. This is the only cattleya type orchid I've ever had. It doesn't really do a sheath, there is no visible sheath. When the growth is 1/3 to 1/2 mature you can tell there are already buds forming, even before the leaf opens up. The new leaf/growth finishes maturing while the plant is in bloom.

This one sounds like it grows in a manner similar to my Blc. Golden Tang 'Tiger' which actually just bloomed since i got it and brought it to Jamaica in August of last year. I have a Potinara also; which i got with sheath and brought back to Jamaica with me also which bloomed not more than a month after. I'm still trying to figure out why it hasn't sent up a new growth yet. How often do Potinara's usually send up new growths? I think maybe because it focused its energy on blooming even after the stress of traveling and potting it, it didn't put out new root growth. Because only within the last month I have begun to see roots climbing up and out of the medium; maybe now it has fully established a root system and I will see a new growth push up very soon too!! *fingers crossed*

I am Steven Feil (pronounced FILE) that registered this grex. It is named after my mother. I had the plant and it bloomed on the same day that she died in 2007. The originator was in the process of naming it but pulled his registration so I could register it. The plant I had died after I tried a to mount it to a piece of wood we got from my wife's grandfather's estate. I tried to replace it but was not able to and have since stopped growing orchids. Thank you for posting this information about it.

It's cute and the plant is not very big. Those that bloom several times make me very happy.
