Default Rlc. Memoria Anna Balmores 'Convex'

Previously Blc. its now classified as Rlc.. This is one of my favorites. It's a compact growing cattleya. It's a reliable bloomer with a very nice fragrance. The flowers present well and don't need to be staked. These flowers have been open a full four weeks and still look good. I had 6 flowers originally but 2 had extensive damage from thrips.

Very nice. Gotta love a cattleya whose blooms stay fresh for 4 weeks plus!

Lovely blooms. Glad they managed to escape those voracious thrips!

This is very nice. I've been tossing up whether to get a plant. Might just have to after seeing this pic.

Beautiful display, tucker! Nice round shapes. I spray for thrips in late september wether I see them or not, Merit followed by Orthene 2 weeks later. Too many nice Fall bloomers to take chances.

I agree. Most years I'm good about spraying but I paid the price for being lazy this year. The flowers in the picture were covered with thrips when they opened. I gave them a couple of doses of Orthene. I got a little lucky because on the damaged flowers, half the flower had been eaten away before it even bloomed.
