Default C.Orglades Classic Robert & Bc.Island Charm "Elizabeth"

Classic Robert had one flower open and one bud when I got the plant. I just couldn't resist the beautiful shape.
The scent is very pleasing. It smells like white acacia flowers in early summer.

The other one had four well developed buds at the time of purchase. I already have Island Charm "OC" which is white. I looked up the flower picture on my phone and I was just totally in love and had to bring it home.

Search the name on the internet. There's only one picture I could find and it is just something!

I can't wait for mine to open up, which will be very close now! so excited!

I suspect the first parent is Orglade's Classic 'Robert'; the cross doesn't appear to be registered.

The name of this plant is what the title says.
One of its parent is C.Walkeriana, but I don't know the other parent.

yeah, nice color and shape, the only missing in class is the size. about 4 inch across, so not the standard large size but not small either.

I'm happy with this. I just love the flower shape so much on this one.

One of the two white flowers are already gone and the last one is slowly wilting as well.
This is what I don't like about cattleyas, very short lasting. well, not all, but many.

The Island Charm "Elizabeth" is open as of last week.
I like the color a lot, but the flower presentation is just wacky to me. I don't know why the sepals are so curled outward. (you can't see them in the pictures as they are all curled out all the way out!)
plus the fragrance is too faint compared to the white clone, Island Charm OC.

oh, well...

I probably won't buy any more cattleyas unless I see them open and really like the way they look.
