thank you as always..as great as it looks to all of us it garnered no AOS award..It was 'typical'.

and as far as growing I have adopted with great success from Roy at H & R Nurseries method.. the plant is anchored (very important) with wine corks or a large piece of bark, set inside net baskets, then inside a plastic pot. These plants DO NOT LIKE the roots to be touched by much. If you let them go wild into the air all around the net basket, they will eventually work themselves all around the plastic pot with a mass of beautiful healthy roots. Then I put all that into a clay pot. The green root tips really like to just reach out and ramble. Let them and you will find the plants will be fun for you . Gets 50% full shaded sun like most of my stuff does from early morning to just after noon. Only gets watered when its dry. Needs to dry out to make the roots search. If the root sits in water and gets fat they will rot, Got to make the roots work and search for water. "Gentle Neglect'.

If I could only grow one orchid, this is the one I would choose. C aclandiae has everything I want in an orchid: beauty, fragrance, small size.

Congrats on the double bloom! I love this species. I agree with Picotee. This orchid is a triple threat, beauty, pleasant smell, and small size. Just got a coerulea form myself. Mounted it on Eco-web, we'll see how it does.

Good luck with your coerulea, Evan. I recently acquired one also.

Very high light, very warm, water then let dry completely, and no water during rest. That's supposed to be the secret anyway. These are beautiful and double.... wow!!! Great growing RJ. Can you get it to bloom every season? Mine sits and pouts every other year. Last year and this, I barely got new buds. That is really something RJ. Thumbs up to you!!!
PS- Have you repotted it yet? If not, what is the plan when you do? Just put the whole thing in a larger size or try and get it free and then repot it?
