So I can learn something, if one parent is Blc and the other Lc then how did it get the rhynco in it? Does the RHS and AOS follow the same naming protocol? I get cornfuzed by the naming of some orchids. I have a barbara billingsley x bow bells that the creator asked the rhs to allow him to change the name and it was the only time this was allowed. Beautiful! It looks a lot like an orchid that I have. I think it's the Laelia influence with the red lines in the throat. Is it fragrant?

Default naming conventions

James, not sure where the obsession about all the names changes are coming from. I think the rhynco comes from the ever changing name of "brassavola" (b. digbyana, hence "Blc") which was used to add a frilly lip to catt hybrids.

Chalk it up to a nomenclature obsessed group of word nazi's that just won't let sleeping dogs lie... makes me laugh, sort of like the Spanish Inquisition and the Vatican debating how many angels could dance on the top of a pin.
