Same parentage as 'Pendentive'?

I'm not sure about the specific lineage of equilab. The flowers in the pictures here definitely resemble dolosa (or Heathii) much more than walkeriana though. The frilly petals and the lip that merges with the parts of the lip around column without a defined separation of the two is also indicative of being dolosa or Heathii. Do you have any pics of the plant itself? Usually these ones have elongated bulbs and leaves, which resemble the loddigesii parent more than the walkeriana.

Please see attached image of the plant. Under the same conditiona as 'Pendentive' which produces growths that are about 10-12 inches tall, this one's largest growth was 5.5 inches with most being 4 inches.

As a comparison, here is a 'Pendentive' (from a 2010 flowering) grown right next to the 'Equilab':

JPMC,
The plant certainly resembles walkeriana! Does it always put out new roots at this stage of growth, or is this a later flush of roots, after the main flush?

The flower is what gets me. That lip just doesn't have the distinct separation between the upper and lower portions and the petals are frilly compared with other walkerianas. Does anyone else know what the parentage of equilab is?

It usually puts forth a flush of roots as a growth is nearing mature size. That said, it also puts forth roots intermittently between growth cycles. It typically produces one to two flowering growths per year.
