Yes, I believe that it can be grown in that medium. I use NZ sphagnum in a clay pot.

No, I do not. I believe that with sphagnum it is important to use clay pots since they will dry out faster.

Yes. I have had one of my C. schroederae in leca now for 4 years now. It was a little slow getting accustomed to it as a seedling. But once it did it has grown beautifully.
