This one came as budded from Kawamoto orchid, and it always amazed me how large the plant was for the price they were sold...Anyways, this one is a really nice Richard Mueller hybrid with Prosthechea vitellina, originally Epidendrum vitellina, which gives this hybrid the bright orange color and the high bud count. This is still a very young plant, and already 6-7 flowers per stem. I think it will be around 15 once fully grown. Additionaly, the flower lasts longer than a phalaenopsis...at least that's what I heard. Already three weeks now, and some of the bud are still not open yet. No fragrance of any kind, though. I just like the joyful color.
