Better Gro bag orchid
This is the first blooming of a Better Gro bag orchid from Home Depot. Not very pretty but has a great floral scent. The label says Orange and Art shades. what ever that means. LOL

Great find! I wish our home depot got any orchids at all, but I've always wanted to try the bag orchids.

My home depot only sells NOID phals. I've never seen anything else, as do some folks from the U.S. When I 'm feeling adventurous, I head to a nursery.

My home depot on occasion sell's species and named phals. Most all their Onc. and vanda's have names. You really can't beat the prices. Nursery's are great but can be little expensive.

Not bad! Maybe it will improve the next time it blooms. Wish we had bag orchids here!

It actually is quite a steal if you can find some well know clone from the baggies. The unnamed crosses...I don't know.

Art shade means just about what you see. Pastels that defy a specific description. It is a common usage for Dendrobium from Hawaii.
This is an orchid that will improve immensely over the next couple of flowerings.

Its a beautiful flower. Too bad, Home Depot in Manhattan dont sell orchids. Its a small hole in the wall that cant have a garden section...even the lumbers are just samples on a rack and is delivered from New Jersey.

Look forward to seeing what it does in its next blooms!.
Just curious but, I have been reading about these 'bagged orchids' available in the US & am curious to know what they look like 'in the bag'? are they bare root or potted etc? Would love to see a photo of one 'in the bag as bought' If any one has any pics?
