Default Lc. Hausermann's Sultan "Summer Spectacular"

Okay, rather wordy name for an orchid, but it's got nice, waxy, clove-scented flowers. Nice contrast between the sepals, petals and lip. Its C. guttata genes are starting to exert themselves as the plant is becoming very tall with each new growth. Easy to grow and flower, however.

I love the Hausermann' orchids. This one is no exception. The scent and color combinations are so appealing. Great pics too.

I love that! It reminds me of C Chocolate Drop, which is among my favorites

Carolyn, I've had this particular plant for about five years. It's flowered for the last three. It's currently starting to branch off in multiple directions--perhaps because I haven't repotted it in two years it may have gotten comfortable and decided to put all of its energy into making multiple leads rather than having to go through the effort of re-establishing itself after the strain of being repotted. I think it might potentially become a pretty nice specimen plant one day--if I can bring myself to keep from splitting it up. Hausermann's still has this plant listed on their website for sale--and it's in their "currently in bloom" section too (if you're interested in purchasing one). My only advice would be to keep it inside when it flowers. I'm not sure why, but the scent of the flowers on this hybrid are highly attractive to Japanese Beetles. If left outside when the blooms open, the flowers will literally disappear over the course of an afternoon.
